A big rock in a quarrying area fell on a resident of Payawa Boma in Mugwo Payam of Yei River County leaving her dead over the weekend.
A reliable source at the scene told Easter Radio in a telephone interview that the woman was cracking some stones on top of the hill.
Another eye witness described the incident as terrible calling it ‘the first of its kind since quarrying began in the area.’
Earlier this month, a similar tragedy occurred at Jansuk Boma when a woman was buried under ground while excavating rocks in the area.
Local authorities in the area told the population to retreat from the activity.
