Yei River County Civil Hospital Tuberculosis or TB said HIV AIDS health worker urged community members to stop discriminating TB and HIV AIDS patients because they are not outcast but members of the society.
Grace Kiden voiced concerns that some people are stigmatizing TB and HIV AIDS patients, Easter Radio reported.
She urged all citizens to join hands to help the patients because ‘they are all our brothers, sisters and relatives.‘
A clinical officer Nyoka Agnes said they enlighten TB clients’ family members or relative to prevent widespread of TB.
She said enlightening patients will prevent others from getting TB and stop stigmatization at the family.
Ms Nyoka said TB and HIV AIDS were the same with other diseases and there is no reason of stigmatizing patients.
