Sudan is positioned in the lower part of the 2010 table of Global press freedom rankings together with most African states among the not free countries.
Freedom House analysed the press freedom in 196 countries and territories and elaborated a ranking in a report called Freedom of the Press 2010 Survey.The top media free countries are Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
The worst place for journalists to work is North Korea that occupies the last place of the table.
Sudan is in position number 165 over its neighbours Chad, Ethiopia and DR Congo, with the rating not free.
The study adds that the press freedom improved in the Sudan.
Freedom House study released last week indicates that 69 countries have free press, 64 countries partly free and 63 countries not free.
The freest zone of the globe is Western Europe with 92 percent of its countries free and eight percent partly free while the worst is the Middle East and North Africa with five countries free, ten partly free and 70 not free in matters of media work.
