Torit University for Science and Technology Vice Chancellor called on directors in Eastern Equatoria state to monitor schools.

Victor Loku told directors on Monday to avoid sitting in offices, but move to every school to assess performance of pupils and students, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Professor Loku pointed out that schools will not succeed if managers sit in offices and do not work hard.

He encouraged teachers to remain strong and take decisions while teaching young people.

Professor Loku called on directors and deputies not to favour teachers who do not perform well because they waste resources and lower education standards.

He was addressing education managers during the launch of a training workshop organized by African Educational Trust at Torit Technical School.
