Members of the national Legislative Assembly and citizens of Juba North Constituency on Saturday came together to discuss security, education, recreation centres, poor roads and clean drinking water.

South Sudanese Network for Democratic Elections or SSuNDE chairperson Lony Routh said the dialogue was to promote citizens’ participation in all political and electoral process, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said it also aimed at realizing good governance and democracy in the country.

Mr Routh said citizen’s participation in the country’s affairs was very important.

MP George Bureng said they are ears, mouths and voices of citizens telling what the citizens want to be voiced out in the parliament for implementation on the ground.

He said it was difficult for MPs to move from house to houses to inform citizens on new development.

Mr Bureng appreciated SSuNDE for organising the dialogue that brought citizens and MPs together.

Many citizens voiced concern on the dialogue that was chaired by the national Assembly speaker James Wani Igga.
