The Catholic University of South Sudan Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences in Wau Western Bahr El Ghazal on Friday started its 2013-2014 academic year.
Hundreds of newly admitted students started registration at university premises at Nazareth.
The Dean of the College Daniel Akau Opio said after admitting students they give English language intensive course to meet lectures.
He advised students from Arabic background to be serious so that they go through.
Mr Akau expressed happiness that they have a good number of girls this year compared to the previous years.
He said Catholic University is concerned with quality education and discipline.
Mr Akau advised the new students to keep up to the values of the university.
The Dean called on all parents to support their children to study because the new country needs development at all sectors.
USAID and Virginia Tech supported the faculty and recently availed a container of five hundred library books.
Lectures will kick start next week for all students.
