Hundreds of faithful gathered at St Mary Cathedral in the Catholic diocese of Wau on Thursday to celebrate Assumption Day and pray for love peace and unity in the country.
Presiding over the mass, Vicar-General Germano Bernardo described the Assumption Day as the day people recalled back the unconditional love and care of mothers throughout lives.
He called on mothers to take the example of Mary mother of God for the sake of peace in the country.
Fr Germano called on all people to continue praying hard for mothers and their love to children.
He encouraged all people to continue embracing the spirit of love and unity in the country.
