Union calls for teachers’ unity

Central Equatoria Teachers Union urged teachers in the state to unite and dialogue despite challenges.
 
The Union chairperson Peter Lodu said it was very important for teachers to evaluate, correct their past mistakes and find a way forward, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He urged teachers to use their wisdom and knowledge in doing duties.
 
Mr Lodu added that teachers need to work together to achieve their desired objectives.
 
The Union Ad Hoc committee chairperson Kachuol Majiang said teachers’ council will manage and endorse annual Union program in the state.
 
Mr Majiang added that there is need to build the capacity of teachers to transform education in the country.
 
Central Equatoria Education Director-General Juma Lupai said his ministry was working hard to look into the Union’s development plans.
 
He urged the Union to secure land for teachers in the six counties.
