Eastern Equatoria Education Ministry revived pastoralist education program in Budi, Kapoeta North, Kapoeta South and Kapoeta East Counties.

Minister Michael Lopuke Lotyam explained that in the program, teachers travel with cattle keepers.

A document that Emmanuel Radio saw indicated that the Ministry re-opened eight pastoralists education centres in the four Counties and deployed 18 teachers.

Alternative Education System Deputy Director Barnabas Lokutai disclosed that two learning centres were established in each cattle camp.

He noted that centres in Budi County, Nalingaro Lotukei, Farak-Sika, Ngarich Payams recorded over 350 learners without availing the data of Kapoeta counties’ centres.

Mr Lokutai cited national Education Ministry interference in concealing most of the information on the program.
