Greater Upper Nile Bahr El Ghazal Equatoria Youth Association or GUBEYA called on the President of the Republic to appoint a youth to the pending post of the vice-president.

GUBEYA representative Florence Lukudu Justine said President Salva Kiir should this time bring a young person whether male or female to be a vice-president to spearhead development in South Sudan.

She said youths are less corrupt, have the spirit of nationalism and more committed in serving the nation compared to old people.

Ms Lukudu argued that it was not age or experience that matters, but eagerness to render services to people.

She was talking to the press on Monday marking the International Youth Day.
