Bishop urges government to reduce taxes on expats

Yei Catholic Bishop urged the government to reduce tax charges impose on the Church expatriates.
 
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe told Easter Radio that the government charges expatriate missionaries 100 US dollars monthly.
 
He said expatriates use their means to carry services of communication, health, education, and capacity building to make South Sudanese able to run their society.
 
Bishop Lodu said the expatriates are coming to offer services to  people free of charge and again the government is taxing them.
 
He said the government should either exempt them or reduce their taxes.
 
The bishop urged the government to be fair on the church expatriates to enable them offer effective service in the country.
