Médecins Sans Frontières or MSF condemned the killing of one of its staff and wounding of two others on Monday in Juba.
The organization in a statement said two of its staff members were seriously injured, one of them died from injuries on Wednesday.
MSF Director of Operations Marcel Langenbach called on the government to investigate the attack and bring the culprits to book.
‘We have requested the authorities to investigate the brutal attack that resulted in the killing of our colleague’, he said.
Mr Langenbach said ‘we want to emphasise the need to respect international humanitarian law and on the obligation to ensure the protection of humanitarian workers, their property and health facilities.’
MSF South Sudan Country Manager Raphael Gorgeu said ‘Joseph was an excellent colleague, his personality and positive attitude will be missed by the whole team his tragic death is a terrible loss for his family, MSF and for his country.’
