Bakhita Radio, Casmiro Legge families in collaboration with Lokoya community will conduct the funeral prayers for the late editor of Bakhita Radio on Saturday at Gumbo residential area.
The late Simon Tongun Casmiro and two other relatives – Joseph Legge and Juma Joseph were knocked to death on Monday by a military car at Gumbo along Juba-Nimule road.
He was riding home after editing news of the national Legislative Assembly select committee to vet the cabinet before taking oath of office.
The late Tongun was buried at his home in Gumbo residential area on Tuesday.
He graduated at the Catholic University of South Sudan with first class degree in economics and business administration.
The late Simon Tongun Casmiro was believed to be the first South Sudanese journalist who became a correspondent to the Voice of America or VOA.
The late Tongun is survived by a baby boy.
