The President-elect of Southern Sudan, issued a presidential decree dissolving the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly and the ten states legislative assemblies.
Salva Kiir Mayardit issued the decree yesterday with immediate effect.The official spokesperson of the government of Soutehrn Sudan, Paul Mayom Akech, said the dissolution of the assemblies was done in order to vacate the seats for the elected parliamentarians.
The results for Women’s lists and party lists are yet to be announced.
Most consituency seats winners were already made public.
