Four children died after eating unknown poison in Heiban County of Nuba Mountains.
One child died in Karaga Village on Sunday on spot while three others died in the local hospital after the doctor and nurses failed to treat and identify the infection.
Betrous Abdulaziz a father of the children told Voice of Peace on Tuesday that he did not know what killed his children.
Ratiba Ibrahim, a nurse in the hospital said medical staff could not confirm exactly what fruit did the children eat.
She confirmed that the three children admitted to the hospital died too.
Ms Ibrahim advised the community to prepare food and know what their children are eating.
Children are the most vulnerable in the community and therefore they need great care, she advised.
