Wildlife officers arrest poachers in Yambio

Wildlife Conservation officers on Sunday arrested three poachers in the Southern Park of Bangasu Payam in Yambio County, Western Equatoria State.
 
The officers presented the poachers to Yambio County authorities before taking them to court, Anisa Radio reported.
 
Wildlife Warrant Officer Arkangelo Bullen Bitimo who headed the patrol team said the poachers illegally entered the park with three machine guns.
 
He explained that the poachers were caught red handed with bundles of dry meat of different animals.
 
Mr Bitimo blamed the Berezigbo community in Bangasu Payam for not cooperating with Wildlife officers.
 
Yambio County Commissioner Kuzee John Elia appreciated Wildlife department for committing itself to real duties.
 
He said Bangasu Payam authorities would be investigated.
 
Wildlife authorities will soon sue the poachers to court in Yambio.
