Over 30 new nurses, midwives undergo training in Nuba Mountains

At least 36 nurse and midwives with majority new employees are undergoing on-the-job training at the Church hospital in Nuba Mountains of Southern Kordofan.
 
A medical Training Officer Sister Angelina Nyakuru said the training aimed at helping the new nurses and midwives to render good services to patients, Voice of Peace reported.
 
She added that the training was also meant to upgrade skills of the staff.
 
Sr Nyakuru revealed that they are planning short and long term trainings including sending staff to study medicine abroad.
 
She called on the participants to be serious during the training and put into practice the knowledge they will learn.
 
Sr Nyakuru said there will be training on leadership skills for medical managers.
 
She appreciated the senior staff for taking time to train the junior ones.
 
Last year the hospital held six months training.
