Yei County Health Department in Central Equatorial State on Friday planned de-worming awareness campaign.
The campaign focuses on the use of intestinal worm drugs.
Health Department Administrator Cons Guya Alex told Easter Radio that the campaign aims at reducing intestine worms affections among pupils in the county.
He explained that the campaign targets five thousand pupils in five primary schools: Kanjoro, Emmanuel Model, Lutaya, Nyongwe and Christ the King.
Mr Guya said they started a pilot project because the county noticed that most pupils have intestinal worms.
He added that the campaign started by a one-day training of 18 teachers to implement the project.
Mr Guya said de-worming campaign will start on Tuesday and end on Friday.
He mentioned that trained teachers will help to explain sight effects of the drugs.
