FAO launches agro-pastoral community project

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO launched agro-pastoral resilience project in Lakes State.
 
FAO Senior Livestock Coordinator Massimo Castielo told Good News Radio that the project will target areas with livestock.
 
He said the four-year project aimed to help pastoral community with skills of sustaining their livelihoods.
 
State Animal Resources and Fisheries Minister Benjamin Laat Mathou said the project cost two million US dollars.
 
He explained that the project would be implemented in Rumbek North, Cheibet and Rumbek East livestock and fisheries.
 
Spanish Government funded the project to be implemented by  FAO in collaboration with the state ministry.
