Rumbek town authorities issued a local order telling animal owners to move them far from the town.
Deputy Clerk Sunday Ater told Good News Radio that the roaming animals are hindering movement of vehicles in the town.
He said the same order was issued last year but not respected.
Mr Ater said the law enforcement agents will implement the order.
He said another order is going to the town council and after approval a number of astray dogs would be reduced.
Rumbek town is witnessing a number of roaming animals including donkeys, goats, cows and dogs.
