People living with HIV AIDS predicted that the country is likely to face bleak future due to lack of care to patients and the widespread of the deadly virus.
Jacob Benjamin said he was concerned of the future of South Sudan on the rapid HIV spread due to lack of awareness among youths especially in rural areas, Voice of Hope reported.
He attributed the predicted bleak future of the country to insufficient support from the relevant authorities to increase awareness and medical care.
Mr. Benjamin cautioned that lack of care and attention from authorities was increasing the HIV AIDS prevalence.
Wau Teaching Hospital HIV AIDs Voluntary Testing and Counselling officer Christopher Paul Madut said austerity measures prevented awareness campaigns in residential areas and schools.
Dr Madut said to achieve the goals of zero rate and prevalence; everyone must go for voluntary testing and counselling.
