A priest from Torit Catholic Diocese advised his colleagues to persevere in their vocation to serve the people of God.

Joseph Aruma called on the priests to be strong and not worry about earthly things, but do the service God called them to deliver, Emmanuel Radio reported.

He said ‘it was not an easy task, but priests chose to continue serving the people of God.’

Fr Aruma recalled that he was ordained with six colleagues in the Catholic Diocese of Torit.

He also mentioned other ten fellow priests from Khartoum Archdiocese.

Fr Aruma made the call while presiding over a thanksgiving mass for his ten-year priesthood at Our Lady of Assumption Parish on Saturday.

Kapoeta Parish priest Paul Lomana also celebrated his tenth anniversary of ordination.
