Eastern Equatoria governor-elect vowed to prepare a representative government and share resources to promote development in the whole state.

Louis Lobong Lojore said his government will distribute resources and ministerial positions according to the counties.

Mr. Lobong said the equitable distribution of resources is meant to promote even development opportunities to all the eight counties of the state.

The governor-elect dispelled allegations that his government would transfer the state capital.

He added that Torit is the capital and only the parliament can change it.

Hundreds of SPLM supporters on Tuesday turned up at the party offices in Torit to celebrate the election success after the National Election Commission declared Mr. Lobong as the winner of state governorship.

The National Elections Commission is yet to announce the winners of parliamentary elections for the national, Southern Sudan and the state legislative assemblies.
