A mobile operator officially handed over facilities to two schools in Juba as part of its 21 days of yellow care.
MTN handed a latrine to Supiri Secondary School, renovated the administrative block and cemented two classrooms and handed 25 desks to Ghabat Basic School, Bakhita Radio reported.
MTN Chief Executive Officer Phillip Basimire said the operator was excited to hand over the facilities.
He said MTN yellow care is an initiative to support the community with educational facilities.
Supiri head teacher Raphael Augustino Swaka appreciated MTN’s support.
He said since he joined the school in 2005, there was not a single latrine and water.
Mr Augustino added that the school accommodates over 1,000 students and one latrine was not enough for all.
He said the school still faces numerous challenges that need the state and the national governments’ attention.
