Bahr El Ghazal University vice chancellor dismissed accusations levied against him over financial management.

Timothy Tellar Dhol said the creation of an university block account was to avoid financial mismanagement and ensure the smooth running of the academic year, Voice of Hope reported.

Professor Tellar said the University block account was meant to secure funds for the students and the teaching staff.

He added that the other account with three signatories shall be for the whole university welfare.

Professor Tellar said he rejected the deans’ board demand of very expensive fees from students.

He explained that the board also proposed high salaries which do not suit the government university policies.

Professor Tellar said the university will run smoothly and that the stipulated fee was to enable poor students to afford university studies.
