Bahr El-Ghazal University former Academic Secretary said he is ready and will commit himself to lecturing after the Vice chancellor relieved him from office duty.

Kual Pal told journalists on Tuesday that the vice chancellor removed him after a heated debate during the deans’ board meeting over bank account signatories, Voice of Hope reported.

He explained that 11 lecturers including the University Principal, deputy vice chancellor and seven deans wrote a protest letter on July 12 recommending that university bank account bears three signatories, but the vice chancellor insisted that the university maintain the block account with only one signatory.

Dr Pal added that vice chancellor rejected a decision that each college be given a certain percentage to manage their affairs and student pay their tuition fees in the Bank.

He said his concern was funds mismanagement as there will only be only one person signing.

Dr Pal reiterated that the University of Bahr El-Ghazal has no council giving the Vice chancellor more powers to act without being questioned.

The vice chancellor appointed Paul Malis as acting academic secretary and Adwong Kuch Jok as new Veterinary College Dean.
