Nationality and Passport Directorate in collaboration with the national Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday launched business passport in Juba.
Nationality and Passport Director-General Augustino Maduot Parek said the business passport would be issued only to members of business community and registered companies, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said the government wants to facilitate recognition of business community abroad.
Mr Maduot added that some regulations will be put in place while issuing the business passport.
The Director said for a business person to acquire a passport, he or she must possess a nationality certificate, a recommendation letter from registered company, tax clearance and the bank statement.
Interior minister Alison Manani Magaya urged Nationality and Passport directorate to give the business passport to the rightful persons.
He urged the business community to accommodate new university graduates.
Business passport issuing commenced immediately after its launch.
Processing the passport cost 3,000 South Sudanese Pounds.
