Lack of food in Nuba Mountains region of South Kordofan is causing malnutrition cases.
Nutrition Program manager Rocio Aguinaga said Gidel Hospital registered more than 200 cases of malnourished children since January.
She added that many children were brought to hospital everyday to receive food.
Sr Aguinaga pointed out people finished food harvested last year.
She noted that malnourishment also results from lack of a balance diet.
Sr Aguinaga appealed to mothers, relatives and communities to take children to hospital earlier for malnutrition treatment.
Nuba Mountains Health ministry reported that a number of children died of malnutrition and lack of proper treatment.
Khartoum Government blocked access to food and drugs in the Nuba Mountains region of South Kordofan since war broke out in June 2011.
