More than 20 thousand people are almost cut off from aid in Northern Bahr el Ghazal state after fleeing violence in the disputed border.
International medical organisation Medicines’ Sans Frontiers’ on Monday warned that the people were living in bad conditions facing food and water shortage.
MSF Field Coordinator in Northern Bahr el Ghazal Shaun Lummis said humanitarian agencies are struggling to provide assistance to them.
He said the displaced people are mainly living in 11 makeshift camps scattered across isolated parts of Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
The Coordinator added that MSF is assisting both the displaced people and the host community, set up mobile clinics and is training teams of community health workers to combat diarrhoea, malaria and malnutrition.
