The Council of Ministers approved the blueprints for the building that will house the National Archives in Juba.
Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press after a very long ordinary sitting that the Cabinet approved a memo submitted by the Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Cirino Hiteng Ofuho for the National Archives building.
He said the National Archives will be built in the John Garang Mausoleum area.
The building was the gift Norway offered to South Sudan during the declaration of independence ceremony on July 9, 2011.
Vice President Riek Machar Teny chaired the Cabinet meeting.
