Governor-elect of Eastern Equatoria called on citizens to unite for the development of the state while announcing an inclusive government.
Louis Lobong Lojore told journalists during his first press briefing as governor-elect in Torit that unity is a prime factor for development, Emmanuel Radio reported.He said losers should concede defeat and support the winners in providing services to the people of the state.
Mr. Logong added that his government would involve all the political parties and candidates who participated in the political races.
The governor-elect said contestants who did not succeed in the elections should accept defeat since politics is a game like football, adding that he is ready to work with all, including losers.
Mr. Logong added that he advocated for change so that the voice of the people is considered in the decision making process and to drive the state to achieve peace as a demand by the people.
Mr. Lobong won the Eastern Equatoria state governorship in the first multi-elections in Sudan in 24 years.
