SSTEP chief meets state education minister

The South Sudan Teachers Education Program or SSTEP chief of party on Monday met Western Equatoria State Education Minister in Yambio to discuss teachers’ training strategies.
 
Johnson Odharo said SSTEP would like to sign a memorandum of understanding with the State General Education ministry to work together and come up with a standard model of professional teachers training, Anisa Radio reported.
 
Education minister Pia Philip Michael suggested that SSTEP could train the tutors who in turn would train more teachers. 
 
He said Solidarity and Kotobi Teachers Training Institutes are operational and can host the teachers’ training.
