Yei Payam authorities caught more than 200 goats moving freely on the streets and residential areas in town in collaboration with the boma administration.
Deputy Payam Director Abakar Ismail Mohamed confirmed that the operation was launched in an effort to prevent the destruction of newly planted trees along the streets and crops within the residential areas, Easter Radio reported.
Mr Abakar noted that the apprehension of goats roaming freely in town will continue.
Earlier last week, Yei River County issued an order banning goats from the urban areas.
