The Deputy Speaker of the National Legislative Assembly called on MPs to use the Constituency Development Fund or CDF in a proper manner.

Daniel Awet Akot made the remarks on Thursday while opening a two-day workshop on opportunities and challenges in the CDF Act 2007implementation.

He said the people in the villages were watching how the MPs implemented the fund.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Michael Makuei said the objective of the CDF was to bring services to the villages.

SPLM Chief Whip Atem Garang said CDF goes with the policies and plans of the party.

The workshop aims to orient MPs on the provisions of the CDF Act, 2007, and how the members can effectively understand the use of the fund.
