Central Equatoria State Deputy Governor urged church leaders to stop criticizing the government including during funeral services.

Manasseh Lomole told members of Sudanese Reformed Churches on Wednesday that criticizing the government in public places was not right.

He said the church should provide valid criticism to the government.

The Deputy Governor called on church leaders to sit and talk to their political counterparts.

Mr Lomole said churches in Central Equatoria and South Sudan need to pray for peace, love and for the people working in the government offices so that they deliver the needed services.

He added that the state government will be ready to support church activities.

Pastor Patrick Jok said he will tell other church leaders to refrain from criticizing the government and only pass the right Godly message.
