At least two people are reported dead and another injured after a fight broke out during a wrestling game in Yirol East County of Lakes State.
Commissioner Manyang Luk Lueth on Thursday told Good News Radio via telephone that one man was killed on spot and another was wounded when a wrestling match between youths of Liith and Naam cattle camps turned violent on Wednesday.He said another man was later killed in retaliation by the group that lost the first man.
Mr Luk said tensions were down.
He added that local chiefs and payam administrators gathered to talk to the families of the deceased and the communities to calm down and allow the law to take its course.
The Commissioner added that the authorities arrested the suspect killer of the first man and police are pursuing those involved in the revenge attack.
Mr Luk confirmed that there was conflict reported between Naam and Liith communities prior to this fight.
