Mr. Kiir won 93 percent of the votes in the race for president of the Government of Southern Sudan while his only rival, Lam Akol from the SPLM-DC, got just seven percent.
One resident of Juba expressed his happyness over Kiir’s success saying he was very glad.
Another resident told SCR news that Mr. Kiir’s success in the elections was positive because he will bring peace and prosperity to Juba and to southern Sudan.
A lady said she was waiting such beautiful results for GoSS presidency.
Some people interviewed said they even expected Kiir to win by 100 percent not just 93 percent.
