The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning withdrew the realignment supplementary budget from the National Legislative Assembly.
Acting Finance Minister Marial Awuo Yol appeared before the Assembly on Monday and announced the withdrawal of the budget until further notice.He said the withdrawal of the supplementary budget was to allow the House time to prioritize on the debate of the 2013-2014 budget before the start of the fiscal year.
Mr Awou apologized to the MPs for not presenting the 2013-2014 budget due to power cuts in the Ministry for the last two days.
The Assembly unanimously approved the withdrawal of the supplementary budget.
