Five delegations for the interschool competition reached in Wau on Saturday morning ready for the games.
The groups arrived from Warrap, Lakes, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, Unity and Upper Nile states, Voice of Hope reported.Teams from Greater Equatoria and Jonglei states were expected to arrive to Wau in the evening.
National General Education minister Joseph Ukel on Friday told the press that the students were ready to begin the tournament.
This year the national interschool competition consists of various sport activities and a cultural competition aimed to unite and promote diversity.
Competitors are accommodated at the University of Bahr El Ghazal hostels.
1,500 participants are expected to participate in the competition which will officially kick off Saturday evening at Wau Stadium.
