A hospital in Yirol West, Lakes State, reported two cases of measles.
Mapuordit’s Mary Immaculate Hospital Medical Director Rosario Iannetti told Good News Radio via email on Thursday that the facility admitted a pregnant mother and a child with measles in a serious condition.He said county health authorities were aware of the measles outbreak and organized a mass vaccination campaign scheduled for June 22 to 29.
Dr Iannetti revealed that the vaccination will be carried out in all areas affected by measles in Yirol West County.
Lakes State Health Ministry carried out a general measles vaccination campaign in March this year.
