Morobo County Commissioner made an inspection visit to the Khor-Kaya Bridge being constructed by UNOPS to connect the county with Kajo Keji.
Moses Simon Soro said the visit aimed to ensure efficiency in the project implementation for the benefit of the people in terms of transport and communication, Morobo pressman Moses Data told CRN via email.Mr Soro said the new river crossing will improve agricultural productivity, the backbone of Central Equatoria’s economy.
UNOPS is currently constructing three projects in Morobo: Yei- Kagelu- Morobo feeder road and Adekede Bridge, Yei- Morobo trunk road and Morobo- Panyume-Kajo Keji feeder road.
Mr Soro thanked USAID for providing the money for the three projects.
He encouraged constructors to provide quality work and reduce futures risks and accidents especially on the bridge project.
