A Dutch organization launched an agro-processing competition on food products for the youth in Western Bahr El-Ghazal.

The initiative started with a one-day seminar at Bahr El-Ghazal University on Tuesday where selected participants debated on the possible agro-processing business opportunities, Voice of Hope reported.

Spark South Sudan Agribusiness Program Manager Menno Keizer said the competition will pave ways for successful youths in agro-processing business to access financial institutions.

Mr Keizer said the programme will support entrepreneurs who would like to start a business in areas such as honey processing, juice, meat and paste production.

He explained that the best candidates shall be trained on business projects writing.

The manager said the youths will submit their projects and the 20 best will have access to financial support.

The programme targets South Sudanese youths in Wau, Aweil, and Kwajok.
