First year students in Upper Nile University thanked the institution’s administration for making the academic year possible during the tough economic crisis in the country.
Students’ representative Josephine Achol Machar congratulated the administration for taking courage and open the new academic years despite of austerity measures, Voice of Love reported.Ms Achol said first year students were happy with the administration which had the heroism to operate the academic activities.
She added that the students appreciated vice chancellor Bol Deng Chol in a very special way for opening the university and making lecturers available.
Ms Achol promised that first year students will work for positive social change and the development of the country.
