The National Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries started collecting data for a comprehensive agricultural master plan to develop the sector.
Disease and Vector Control Deputy Director in the national ministry Taban Tereka told Radio Emmanuel that Japanese International Cooperation Agency or JICA funds the data collection.Mr Taban said several groups were deployed to the ten states to collect data in specific areas including water, fisheries, agriculture and livestock resources.
He noted that the plan will help the government, partners and other institutions to develop the agricultural sector.
Mr Taban said the team will meet with state officials in the line ministries, counties, communities and individuals to get the needed information.
