Western Bahr El Ghazal authorities urged all NGOs operating in agriculture to shift to rural areas to help people achieve food security and end hunger by 2014.
State Minister for Agriculture Lillian Valentino Rizik told Voice of Hope that they evaluated the performance of NGOs per county.She said they suggested that NGOs are to go and play their roles in rural areas.
Ms. Lillian said the meeting discussed the role of reactivating food security cluster and distributing NGOs to rural areas.
She said the NGOs accepted government suggestions of relocating their activities to rural areas.
Ms Valentino said the state was food secured and needed to reserve some food for the future.
The state food security cluster consists of 38 NGOs headed by State Agriculture and Forestry Minister.
