Yei River County elders formed a committee to oversee and re-organise their activities in the five payams.
The committee is headed by Alfred Obebu, deputised by Gordon T. Loworo and Panuel Kenyi is elected a secretary, Radio Easter reported.Mr Obebu said the committee aims at raising awareness and creating peaceful co-existence among communities.
County Commissioner Juma David Augustine appealed to the committee to mobilise the elders into one umbrella and form a general assembly before elections.
The committee will run the office for one month.
