World Food Programme or WFP distributed over 900 metric tons of food in three Counties of Kapoeta region.
Eastern Equatoria deputy director for Relief and Rehabilitation Commission John Odongi Simon said they received 919 metric tons of food, Radio Emmanuel reported.He said food was distributed to over 37 thousand beneficiaries in Kapoeta East, South andÊ North Counties
Mr Odongi said the food rations were to last for three months due to inaccessibility of some areas during rainy season.
The food distribution was a result of hunger alarm the state government sounded early this years after ten people allegedly died of hunger in Kapoeta.
