Schools in Jur River County of Western Bahr El Ghazal state lack teachers with only two untrained teachers in each school.
John Arop Apai, said last week he visited more than ten primary schools in the payams to assess how rural schools are operating, Voice of Hope reported.He said in more than eight primary schools visited, they found that there were only two teachers in each school.
Mr Arop said two teachers are not enough to run the lessons in a whole school.
He said most teachers cited accommodation and feeding in the rural schools as challenges forcing teachers away from rural schools.
Mr AropÊ revealed that the community leaders started building rooms and contributing food to sustain teachers in rural schools.
