The presidents of South Sudan and Kenya discussed the implementation of Lamu Port project and the pipeline is priority.
President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya made a short official visit to Juba on Thursday.President Salva Kiir told the press that both countries are treating the three Lamu projects separately starting with the pipeline from South Sudan to Lamu port, in the Kenyan coast.
He said the railway line and tarmac road connecting South Sudan to Kenya would follow.
President Kenyatta confirmed that the construction of Lamu Port started and the projects would boost the economic viability of both countries.
President Kenyatta was on his way to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to join other African Union leaders to the Golden Jubilee of the Organization of African Unity now called African Union.
President Kiir is leaving for Addis Ababa Friday to take part in the jubilee celebration and the AU head of states summit.
