The Government of Lakes State issued fresh orders to the police, army, wildlife and prison guards, to hunt down centres selling local and industrial brews in Rumbek.
Senior Inspector in the Local Government Mark Majok Adut confirmed to Good News Radio that the organized forces collected alcoholic drinks in many bars of Rumbek at the orders of Lakes State and Rumbek Central County authorities.He said now only big hotels are allowed to sell alcoholic drinks.
Mr Majok warned traders sponsoring alcoholism in Rumbek to bring commodities more useful than beer and other drinks which are killing old and young in the State.
He added that the government is very serious to ban all local and industrial brews in Lakes State.
Customers looking for a beer or another alcoholic drink in Rumbek have to go to Afex, Palm Tree and Safari hotels.
